About Hoop House

Welcome to Hoop House! House plants and local pottery to make your space a little greener!πŸͺ΄

Located at 1218 Wedgewood Ave, Nashville, TN 37212, Hoop House operates as a plant nursery serving Nashville in Tennessee. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under gift shop, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

In Nashville, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Tennessee, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (615) 818-0731. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thehoophouse.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 43 reviews, which is a strong result for a plant nursery in Nashville and suggests consistent service.

Nashville is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Nashville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Super friendly! Amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about their plants. Foster kitties were so precious. 10/10 would go back next time I’m in the area.

While visiting Nashville for the weekend, my mom and I wanted to check out this shop we’ve seen on social media! Unfortunately, we were able to visit at the same time the cats were arriving, but we loved looking around at all of the beautiful plants! Looking at reviews from other customers, I do agree with the individual who brought up the concern of the lack of labels. I can understand why the company would choose not to label plants as this encourages conservations and asking questions. However, I was left feeling uneasy and a bit confused. In addition, considering those (like me) with social anxiety, this creates stress and pressure for the customer. I don’t want to discredit the employees who warmly welcomed us and encouraged us to ask questions! I just don’t want the pressure of feeling like I have to ask questions regarding items or prices. Unfortunately, we left without purchasing anything. Not that the selection was not beautiful and worth investing in! But primarily due to the lack of labels.

Love love love this plant shop! We recently moved halfway across the country and when I got my plants repotted at another shop, they randomly started dying. I panicked and had no clue what was happening! I found Tana + her shop and she performed the best plant ER! This shop is adorable, she is so knowledgeable and was truly a lifesaver to my plant babies! I bought a few more plants & pots as well and they’re such a great addition to my home. They have accessories too and I even got some cute bandanas for my dog. Plus kittens are in the shop?!! Dream come true! Can’t wait to go back!

I love this little plant store! I’m so happy to be able to support a local business like this one where the owner is a wonderful person, passionate, and knows what she’s doing. The selection of plants is lovely and they are well-taken care of. Even though I own ~50 plants, I can always find something here that I don’t already have. The staff, sweet little foster kittens running around, and the handcrafted goods from local artists make visiting a great experience every time, and I always walk away with something beautiful and unique. The staff will chat with you and answer any questions you have (the owner has even taken the time to answer questions I have about plants I have at home that I didn’t even buy here). They will also send you with a personalized plant care card to make sure you know how to take care of your new baby. Keep up the good work plant fam!

I decided to be a plant mom and I found this place nearby during a Google search! It’s the cutest plant shop ever with a large variety of indoor plants. Cherith was so kind, and she made some suggestions to start off, and they even give you these plant care cards with all the basics for proper care. I love that they will even plot the plants for you, whether you buy the pots there or bring one of your own. For the larger plants, they’ll even deliver. I started with a large ZZ plant, and a Jade Pothos! I’m so incredibly happy with my experience here, that I’ll definitely be back for more.
